I’m working on a multi-board setup in Monday.com where each board represents a different layer of a workflow—some are high-level overviews, while others contain detailed tasks or data. To make this system more intuitive and scalable, I’m trying to find a way to connect entire boards to each other, not just link individual items across boards.
Right now, the Connect Boards Column only allows item-level linking, which is useful but limited when you’re trying to build a modular architecture. What I really need is a way to establish board-level relationships—so users can easily jump from one board to another in context, without having to dig through linked items or search manually.
In addition to that, I’m looking for a way to create a button or clickable element inside a board that opens a specific view of another board. For example, I’d love to have a button that opens a view to see an entire board, directly from within the current board. This would streamline navigation and make it easier for users to move between stages or departments represented by different boards.
So far, I’ve explored the Button Column, Link Column, and Dashboards. The Button Column can trigger automations but doesn’t support navigation. The Link Column can hold board URLs, but it’s static and not very user-friendly.
I’m wondering if anyone in the community has found a creative workaround for this—whether through apps, custom widgets, or clever use of existing features. Is there a way to connect boards at a higher level and enable seamless navigation between them? Any insights or suggestions would be hugely appreciated.
