Mirroring is easy to do, but there should be an opportunity to filter mirrored results so that only the items with X filter are shown in the mirror column.
What are you trying to achieve
Imagine having a participation board, where each group (or a status column) is based on a year. In another board, you only want to see 2025’s records, and not 2024’s records. At the moment, you can only see both. There’s no choice unless you create multiple columns on the participation board, but that creates unnecessary columns (in my opinion).
Hi there!
I can definitely see why this would be helpful. When you’re mirroring data across boards, being able to filter the mirrored column so it only shows items that match a certain condition, like just 2025 instead of both 2024 and 2025, would make things much cleaner and easier to manage.
Right now, mirror columns reflect everything from the connected items and unfortunately don’t support filtering within the mirror itself. The main workaround is to apply the filter on the source board and connect only the relevant items, or to create a separate filtered view or board that only contains 2025 records and mirror from there. I know that can feel like extra structure, but it helps keep the mirrored data focused without adding unnecessary columns.
You’re absolutely right that native filtering inside mirror columns would simplify setups like yours, especially when working with year-based groupings.
