Move a document from "Column" to "Files gallery"

Hello everyone :slight_smile:

I created a board that I use as a documentary basis ; for me, it would be very convenient to switch a file from “Column” to “Files Gallery”. It would allow me to put my old documents in some kind of “archive” and withdraw it from my column without withdrawing it from the board.

Does anyone know if such a feature exists yet ?

If you’re looking to seperate the Files Column from the Files Gallery, I am afraid this is currently supported at this time. When uploading files to the files column, unless the are files are uploaded from cloud-based storage system, the same file will upload to your files gallery. I can see how this functionality would be useful for your workflow however, and will certainly pass this feedback onto our product team.

Perhaps an alternative suggestion could be to store/archive files directly in the updates section, and separately upload new files to the file column in your board, as there is no dynamic connection between files uploaded in the files column and those uploaded to the updates section.
