Is there a way to move an item directly to a selected group but positioned in the top instead of the default bottom?
You could add a date column called ‘moved to this group’ (or something like that). Then set an automation that sets that date when the item is moved to the group. Then you’ll save sort by ‘date moved to group’.

Can sorting work only on one group? Because we only needed it sorted like that in the one of our groups
Sorting affects the whole view. What about then creating a view for that group where it’s sorted? Create a new ‘table’ view, then filter so it only shows that group and save the setting.
