I’m looking for monday to solve for not being able to move files from one column to another.
The reason I need to do this now is because we are currently going through a major clean up in our boards and I’m finding duplicate columns. I have multiple columns for related files & documents all called different things and there is no way to merge the columns or move the files so I can delete the duplicate column without having to manually download every file form one column and then upload to the other column.
Anyone else dealing with this frustration right now? Please vote!!!

Hi @kelleycorreia, you can use Copy Files Pro. The app come with automation recipes to Copy and Rename files between items, columns, and boards.
In your case you can create Copy files automation recipe using the app, run the recipe which will copy all your files from source column to destination column(the one you selected).
I found a simple and straightforward solution for what you’re trying to accomplish!
You can actually move all of your items and all their respective subitems – and pass along all their column values from one board to another with just one automation!
