Need Fixed Hidden Field Value per Form – Same Board

Hi Monday.com Support,

I’m trying to create multiple forms connected to the same board, where each form submits a different fixed value into the same column (e.g., “Source” or “Form Type”). The idea is for this value to be automatically filled and hidden from the person submitting the form.

However, once I mark the field as “Hidden,” I can no longer set a default value. And if I set the default first and then hide the field, the value still doesn’t get submitted. This creates a big limitation.

I know there are URL parameter workarounds, but in my case I’ll be using QR codes to distribute the forms — so I cannot manually edit the URL each time.

Is there any way to:

  • Assign a fixed hidden value per form,
  • And still connect all forms to the same board?

If not, are there recommended workarounds (like automations or apps) that could solve this?

Thanks so much,
Khen

Hey @Khenkh

Our monday app form builder, Easyform, has two solutions for your problem.

  1. Hidden URL Parameters - You can configure fields so that when populated with a URL parameter, they are hidden.

  2. Item Default Values - Hide the field from the form and set the value for each form submission (currently supported only for single and multiple select questions, i.e., Status, Dropdown, Connected Boards, etc.).

You can check out our URL Parameters docs here and Item Default docs here.
