I’d like the ability to remove or disable the “Write a new update” feature on items, or alternatively have an automation that can clear all updates. Updates currently accumulate endlessly on recurring items, and there’s no native way to reset them.
What are you trying to achieve
I manage recurring items that reset weekly. Over time, each reset adds another update, so the update bubble eventually shows dozens or even hundreds of updates that are no longer relevant. This creates noise and complicates the workflow. I’m trying to keep these items clean and avoid unnecessary update buildup without relying on complex duplication or replacement workarounds that break existing automations.
