Option to Prevent Stacking Multiple Items on the Same Line in Timeline Widget

Description

The Timeline widget currently stacks multiple items on the same horizontal line when their date ranges overlap or fall within the same span. While this maximizes space, it significantly reduces readability — especially when the stacked items are unrelated.

When unrelated tasks appear on the same line, it can visually imply a connection or grouping that doesn’t exist. This makes timeline reviews more difficult, particularly in stakeholder presentations or dense project boards.

There does not appear to be a setting to control or disable this stacking behavior.

I would like to request an option to prevent multiple items from appearing on the same line.

What are you trying to achieve

I want the ability to display one item per row in the Timeline widget — even if this increases the overall height of the widget.

The goal is to:
• Improve clarity when reviewing timelines
• Avoid visual grouping of unrelated tasks
• Make dense schedules easier to scan
• Present cleaner timelines during project reviews

A simple toggle such as “Display one item per row” or “Disable stacking” would provide much better control over readability and visual hierarchy.
