Overview information on Dashboards

Description

It would be good to add a columns to the overview in dashboards showing the owner, when go live date (the ability to choose a date from tasks) - ability to add a few important dates (for example: go live date and Milestone date), of the boards connected to the dashboard. This will make it easier for leadership to view a number of boards rather than try and look at graphs. We would use for New Product Development - name of board (product name), owner, ability to add two or three important dates (go live, go on sale) as well as keep what is there already.

What are you trying to achieve

Easy overview of new product status without using a number of graphs or just have a figure that could mean anything.

Hi there,

If the goal is to give leadership a clear overview without relying on charts, you might want to look at using a Table widget on the dashboard.

The Table widget can pull in specific columns from connected boards, including things like Owner and Date columns. If your go live or milestone dates live in a Date column on each board, you can display those directly in the dashboard table.

If those key dates are currently sitting on tasks rather than at the board level, one common approach is to standardize a specific item per board such as “Go Live” or “Launch Milestone,” then use a Mirror column or automation to roll that date up to a consistent column. That way the dashboard always knows exactly which date to display.

Some teams also create a small “Portfolio Overview” board where each item represents a product, and key dates and owners are mirrored in from the delivery boards. The dashboard then pulls from that single structured board, which keeps things clean and leadership-friendly.

That combination usually gives a much clearer overview than relying only on graphs.

Hi @mandy.connolly, Welcome to the community!

The List View widget will solve this.

It allows you to display board-style data from multiple connected boards in one clear, table format. You can show key columns like Owner, Go Live date, and milestone dates, hide unnecessary fields, and even include columns that only exist on some boards. It also supports inline editing directly from the dashboard.

This provides the simple, leadership-friendly overview you’re looking for without needing additional graphs or custom development.

You can refer to the screenshot and article below for setup guidance.

Hope this helps!
