Today we noticed that members couldn’t add sub-items to an item in a board with the permissions for that board being “Edit the board’s content without changing its structure” anymore.
Since our workflow requires members to add sub-items to an item they have created, we had to change the boards permissions to “edit everything on the board”.
i don’t like giving members the permission to edit everything and to be honest i don’t understand why this was changed in the first place. Please give me my feature back
I’ve just checked and changing the permissions to only allow members of the board to “Edit the content” but not the structure doesn’t impact my ability to create sub items.
However, with the new granular permission settings, you can disable the creation of subitems separately. Maybe it’s worth checking this setting to make sure it’s not turned off:
