Summary
Please add the ability to duplicate templates to new boards with granular controls over what is copied. Instead of only “copy everything” or “structure only,” allow users to selectively include or exclude items, groups, columns, subitems, and column data, plus optional updates, files, automations, and integrations.
Problem
The current duplication options force teams to either carry across all data, including time‑sensitive fields like dates and ownership, or rebuild boards from scratch. This leads to avoidable cleanup, higher risk of stale information carrying forward, and slower onboarding for new projects.

Proposal
Introduce a duplication wizard with clear checkboxes and per‑column toggles, for example:
Columns: copy structure only, copy data, or map to a new column
Date columns: keep exact dates, clear dates, or shift relative by N days
People columns: keep assignments, clear, or reassign to default role
Subitems: include structure only or include data
Presets: save duplication “profiles” at the template level for repeatable setups
Preview: show a summary of what will be copied before confirming
Value
This adds significant value through efficiency and governance. Teams can spin up client or project boards quickly, keep standardized structures, and avoid transferring sensitive or time‑bound data. After today’s webinar, multiple attendees expressed support for this capability, noting it would reduce rework, improve data hygiene, and speed adoption.
