Prevent accidently modifying Gantt

Hi, I’m trying to work out if there is there a way to prevent an admin / board owner from using the dragging feature to change the timeline on a Gantt?

This would be to prevent anyone from accidently changing the time period for an item whilst scrolling through.

  1. Remove Owner Role
    If possible, remove admin/owner status from users who shouldn’t be editing timelines. Then use column permissions to restrict who can edit the Timeline column

2. Use Column Permissions
On Pro and Enterprise plans, you can:

  • Click the three-dot menu on the Timeline column.
  • Go to Settings → Column Permissions.
  • Restrict editing to specific users only.
  1. Lock the Board Temporarily
    If you’re reviewing timelines or presenting, consider duplicating the board and removing edit access temporarily.
