When doing PDF export via a dashboard the RAG (or status bar) does not appear on the PDF, even though it is showing on the dashboard. Does anyone have a workaround for this?
Aw sounds frustrating! Have you reached out to Monday support on this one? Im sure you have perhaps tried the below:
-
Use Screenshots:
- Instead of exporting directly to PDF, take a screenshot of the dashboard with the RAG status bars visible. You can then insert the screenshot into a document and save it as a PDF. This method ensures that all visual elements are captured as they appear on the screen.
-
Export to Excel:
- If Monday.com allows you to export the dashboard data to Excel, you can do so and then use Excel’s conditional formatting to recreate the RAG status bars. Once formatted, you can save the Excel file as a PDF.
-
Check Dashboard Settings:
- Ensure that the settings for the dashboard or widget are configured to display all necessary elements. Sometimes, adjusting the widget size or format can help during the export.
-
Browser-Based PDF Tools:
- Use a browser extension or tool that captures the entire webpage, including dashboards, as a PDF. Tools like “Print Friendly & PDF” or browser-specific extensions can sometimes offer better capture options than the built-in export feature.
Alternative PDF Software:
Use third-party PDF software that can create PDFs from screen captures or web pages. Applications like Adobe Acrobat or Snagit can capture high-quality images of your dashboard and convert them into a PDF.
By using these workarounds, you should be able to include the RAG status bars in your PDF exports. If you have further questions or need additional help, feel free to ask!
