Search for duplicates and create an update

I have a board that I am using to track new applicants for job postings. I want to create an update for applicants who applied more than once, to alert the hiring manager that this applicant has already applied to a job in the company in the past. What would be the best way to do this?
I would assume that to check if there is a duplicate would be to search for email address, and maybe name?
How would I do this?

You can do this using the Duplicates and Uniques app. Even better, you can search for duplicates automatically using templates.
