In several of our boards, we have set up custom views so that only the columns we want our users to interact with are visible. If they flip to the ‘main table’ view, it includes a bunch of columns that ordinary users of that board will not understand or use (in some cases they contain info necessary to make certain automations work, for example).
We desperately need a way to hide the ‘main table’ view. I am aware that we can set a different view as the default, but there is no way to drag and drop the main table to the end of the list of available views, or better yet, just hide it altogether from anyone who is not an admin or board owner, which is what we’d prefer.
This would be a very useful feature to add.

For advanced boards, the main table view is more like an admin view. It wouldn’t be great if this main table view could have an option to hide for all users except for the admin.
This would be Extremely useful for us. We use complex boards and filter what users see via multiple different views. The main table is purely for admin purposes and it would be great if we had the ability to hide it, as right now it’s accessible to all, and confusing to users who accidently open it due to all the extra columns used to power automations and board to board links.
I completely agree with this. The Main Table often times only offers more opportunity for confusion amongst the majority of our users.
Agreed - this would be extremely useful to set it up for admin purposes only, but hidden from general viewing. Some people do not realize that the view we want them to see they actually have to click the tab to change views, and it generates more confusion/questions than it helps sometimes.
As a new user of Monday, I see similar request pop up during few last years. What’s happening, @Becca-monday.com ? You’ve closed some of those requests. Any updates on implementation?
Very much agree on this. For us its going to be an admin-view where as other views will be used day to day.
Didn’t miss this feature - until today.
Setting up a large ticket board with much information per ticket.
We have a team that priorises the tickets and adds a responsible person.
And then we have the development team with the focus of only assigned tickets and details the customer submitted.
And the CEO wants to see all overdue tickets and does not want to see all the details.
All of them should at least have an own default view or only one customized view
This would be a great feature. Especially since we have guests who should not see every table…

an upgrade on this feature will be useful to many member. If possible, adding the view restriction to selected member which categorize as different department or (team) at the view tab. Highly appreciated if Monday team planned to launch this feature soon.

Fully agree. It would be also useful that each user could have a different default view.
Some of our boards are used y different types of users: technicians on the road, scheduler in the office, managers, … They all need different views with different filters, but there is only one default view, so one of the groups has the right default view and all other groups of users must annoyingly change view each time they go on a board. This does not help having a nice customer experience.

100% agree on hiding the Main Table or at least re-ordering the views so it can be placed last. This would be one of the best implementations that we could imagine.
100% agree as well. If at least we can reorder the Views and put Main table at the end, this would be helpful. Currently there is no way to reorder the Views. Not sure if there is a separate request for that.
