Setting dates in a column based on a new Activity being created

Hi all, I have a board on the CRM that I want to populate with a ‘next activity date’, based on the Activities section. I.e. when someone creates a new Activity and sets the future date and time, I need this date to be reflected in a column on the main board. Image below to explain!

You’ll see there is a ‘Next meeting’ column - this is the column we currently manually input, but would love an automation for it. I’m thinking it might be an AI-generated one as there isn’t a logic behind the dates, just human selection.

Any ideas please? Thanks in advance.

Hey Danni @2210danni - if the date from your Activity gets saved into a regular Date column on your item, for example, your team updates a Next Meeting or Next Activity Date field, then you can definitely use Smart Timeline + Duration to help automate things from there, like syncing timelines or triggering reminders based on that date.

There are over 20 core and advanced automation recipes you can explore to fit your needs.

Happy to show you how it can help your workflow anytime, just let me know!

Thanks for the reply. The date doesn’t automatically go into any column on the board I’m trying to use, when added via the CRM - this is my biggest obstacle.

If it did, I would have a number of automations I could utilise, but the fact it isn’t populating anywhere other than in the (separate) Activities board…there’s the link I am trying to then make back to the board it came from, if that makes sense.
