I’m trying to find a way to get the BTC live price to appear in an item’s Numbers column. The goal would be to use this quantity in an adjacent formula column. Any idea if there’s an existing integration I could use? If not, any suggestion on how to fetch and show live data from the web? Thanks for any info.
Hi @Jerome
Welcome to the Community!
We don’t currently have a native integration that will allow you to pull in live cryptocurrency prices, you may be able to achieve this via an external integration.
If you’d like to use a low-code / no-code integration option, I can see that Make (formerly Integromat) offers some integrations between monday and cryptocurrency services.
You can read how to create an integration via Make here: How to create an automation or integration with Integromat
You can view the monday.com + CoinMarketCap integration (via Make) here: https://www.make.com/en/integrations/coinmarketcap/monday
You can view the monday.com + Binance integration (via Make) here: https://www.make.com/en/integrations/binance/monday
If the options above aren’t suitable for your needs, you can create a custom integration using our API.
You can read more about our API here: Does monday.com have an API?
I can see that Coinbase offers an API that allows for calling live Bitcoin price information.
You can read more on this in their documentation here: https://developers.coinbase.com/docs/wallet/guides/price-data
It’s worth noting that these third party platforms may have their own associated costs for using the service / API.
I’d recommend checking out the links above to see what might work best for you.
If you then need further guidance about creating integrations, or using the API, I’d recommend checking out the Developer section of the Community. This section is managed by our Developer Success team, who will be able to answer any more in depth questions you might have.
You can find this here: monday Apps & Developers - monday Community Forum
I hope this helps! Remember to mark as solved if this answers your question
Best,
Dani
Thanks, appreciate it.
I totally get where you’re coming from. I was in the same boat a while ago when I wanted to track live BTC prices for my personal trading endeavors. It’s awesome to have real-time data at your fingertips! What worked for me was using Google Sheets with a custom script that pulls data from a reliable crypto API. It’s pretty simple to set up, and you can customize it according to your needs. If you’re into trading like I am, you should definitely check out the info about trading pro.
