In Workflows, the Status Change trigger requires either a “to” status selection or a “from” and “to” selection. This trigger automatically gathers the prior status and current status information, which can then be used in the workflow data inputs. I would like to trigger this same data without selecting a specific status, any time the status changes. I could then use multiple statuses in a multi-branching step and still be able to input the prior stage and current stage information as needed.

You can just select “When column changes” trigger with “Status” selected as a column
The automation will fire every time status changes. You can then build up your branching based on that status.
Yes, I understand that I can select that, however using that trigger does NOT automatically gather the prior and current status information, and the prior status is not available in the item data otherwise.
So my request is either for the prior status to be automatically gathered and available any time a status changes, or for the “Status changes” trigger to be available without a specific status selection.
