I see a need for a centralized file display for my team outside of the files column of a task. We frequently use Google and Dropbox links to collaborate, but they are not currently supported to show up within the Files Widget of a board. Has anyone else encountered this? Are there any known work arounds?
What are you trying to achieve
I would like the Files Widget (or another widget) to support the display of all links; especially to cloud-based software.
From what we’ve seen, the Embed Everything widget works with individual Google Drive file links.
As a possible workaround, you could also try embedding a Google Drive or Dropbox folder link that contains all the related files, so everything stays centralized outside of the Files column. I haven’t personally tested this with folders (only with file links), but it may be worth a try depending on sharing settings.
