Hi team,
When someone sends me a shared link to a Monday.com item (e.g., via email or Slack), I often want to quickly open it by pasting it into the search bar — either in the desktop app or browser.
However, I’ve tested this and found that pasting a full Monday.com link (like https://…monday.com/boards/…/pulses/…) into the global search bar does not return the matching item or post — even when I already have access to it and the link opens fine in the browser.
What are you trying to achieve
Why this matters:
Clicking the link always opens a new tab in the browser, even if Monday is already open in another tab or in the desktop app.
This introduces significant overhead: it can take 20–60 seconds to load, especially on large accounts with many boards, automations, or integrations.
It slows down collaboration and creates duplicate Monday instances in the browser.
