One simple way to improve time tracking is to automate it to stop when you change boards. You could also create an automation as in; stop clock when item deselected, or stop clock when board deselected, or prompt to keep clock running after (settings) 5 minutes, 10 minutes ect.
Time tracking is a good feature but I can see a lot of people walking away from Monday with the clock running, which really negates its usefulness
