Update multiple, similar automations in one go

It would be great if there was a way of updating an automation, and selecting multiple, almost identical automations to reflect the same change.

For example, I have a board that has around 50 automations for different dropdown items, they are all a variation of:

‘When this date is reached, move this item to this board

The only difference between each automation is the name of the item, and the group it is being directed to on the second board.

If I want to change the automation to move the item sooner (currently set to 6pm), I would have to go to every single one of these automations and change the time on them - the better option would be to be able to multiple select all the relevant ones (or some kind of search function that includes the ‘when this date is reached’ prompt) and change them all at the same time.

Hello @2210danni You’re not missing anything. At the moment, monday.com doesn’t support bulk editing or multi selecting existing automations, so each one has to be updated individually.

To reduce this going forward, try consolidating multiple similar automations into one using conditions. For example, use a Status or Dropdown condition with “When date is reached” so a single automation covers multiple values. If different groups are required on the destination board, move the item first, then use a conditional automation on the second board to route it to the correct group.

You can also submit this as a feature request. Automation search and bulk edits are commonly requested.
