Update notification when "duplicate task with updates"

Description

I often duplicate an Item for every member of my team and need to include the text in the Update. When I duplicate, the little bubble at the Board level doesn’t show the 1 to indicate that there’s info to read in the Update, so people miss it. So I can save some time duplicating the Item but I need to manually insert the Update so that they get notification and see the indicator.

What are you trying to achieve

Let users know to open the Item and read the info in the Update and also get a notification in the Update feed.

You could use automations or manual updates to notify team members when duplicated tasks receive new updates.

There is an automation that lets them know they have a new Item, but there’s nothing in the visual of the Item to let them know there is info in the Update they need to read. We’re really trained to look for the blue number on the Update bubble on the board!
