When capturing back and forth information in an email string, once the email string becomes too long, Monday.com won’t capture the email at all vs. cutting it off at the bottom. This limitation negates the efficiencies of using the update via email feature. Please increase the length and size of emails that can be saved with this feature.
What are you trying to achieve
Trying to achieve ease of capturing conversations at the item and subitem level of many of our teams so that staff don’t have to email, then make an update, each time a response is made back and forth via email.
hi @nataliecanestro ! One workaround some teams use is Email to Task - instead of relying on the email-to-update flow, you forward the email (or entire thread) into monday as an item or update, so the full conversation is captured without size cutoffs. It also lets you keep the discussion tied to the right item/subitem without extra manual copying.
Not a perfect replacement for native support, but it helps keep long back-and-forths visible and structured.
There’s a 14-day trial, and happy to walk through the setup on a quick demo if helpful.
