Since I got into working on Monday, about 2-to-3 years ago, I have daily made use of the following: While working on some boards, I would set up some Filtering, and instead of saving a view (as I don’t always have the right), I would bookmark the URL that is generated. So every day I would open my browser, click the bookmark, and I’d be on the board I need to be on, with yesterday’s filtering already set…
For about two weeks now, I don’t see this working anymore. Even past links that are stored that way, in Updates on board items etc, now open the board as if it is unfiltered. When I go to Filters to check, you can see the filters are set, but the board did not filter for it.
Is Monday aware of this? I thought everyone was doing this, but the problem is lingering pretty long now and I figured this crucial capability would be working correctly again by now.
That’s a genius workaround to not being able to save views. I just tried it myself on my own account and it seems to be working like you would expect. I tried two ways, one was to search an item and bookmark and the other was to edit a filter and bookmark. Both bookmarks pull up the page with the search/filter already in place.
What browser are you using? Perhaps clear cache/cookies and try?
Thank you for your replies. Yes, the method works with Search too since the info becomes part of the URL. But to answer your questions:
I am using Chrome - always have. It is up to date.
Although I am running very limited browser extensions, they have not changed in some years. Thus, I doubt with certainty that they are causing any issues.
I have already cleared History, Cookies and Cache “For All Time”, which changed nothing.
I have logged out of Monday and back in - no change.
I have even REbookmarked it a few times - no change.
I should now point out that the board I am talking about is one I mainly do a lot of work on, which is why I noticed it suddenly not working. But on other boards I use, it still works fine/normal… Just this one board seems to fail at this now.
I don’t see how I can upload video, so I will try GIF… I’ll try to show you in it how the Filter is applied, but the results are wrong. Then when I alter the Filter just slightly to make it filter for something else before changing it back, then it filters correctly. Note the subtitles at the bottom.
