I have a Workflow set up between two boards, so when a sub-item is created in Board A an item is than created in Board B. Board B continues the workflow to have sub-items created dependent on the status (which is marked in Board B). I want the Workflow to continue so as the status of an item in Board B changes, it changes the status of the subitem in Board A. The changes may happen sporadically.
I have the workflow there, but I just can’t get it to work right.
What about creating a workflow so that it ‘creates a new item’ AND uses a connected column to connect the two. Then use mirror columns on Board B, so that when the status changes, that it flows back?

That solved my problem of getting the lines connected when something new was created, so thank you very much for that! I figured out that you can set up an automation for a status to change based on the status of mirrored column, so I have brought that in. Overall my problem is solved, I just wish I didn’t have to have 4 different automations set up on Board A to change the status as the Board B Mirrored column is changed. Thank you!
