Using Voice-Based Integrations to Simplify Everyday Work in Monday.com

Hi Monday community,

We’ve been building Gennie, a voice-based assistant designed to integrate with work management tools like Monday.com to make everyday task updates faster and more natural.

The core idea is to reduce friction in daily workflows by allowing users to speak actions such as creating items, updating statuses, or adding notes, and have those reflected directly in Monday boards. This can be especially helpful during meetings, quick discussions, or when teams are multitasking across tools.

Some standard integration use cases we’re exploring include:

  • Creating new items on boards using voice

  • Updating item status, owners, or due dates hands-free

  • Adding updates or notes without switching tabs

  • Capturing action items immediately as they come up

Monday remains the system of record, while voice acts as an input layer to simplify how work gets captured and updated.

We’d love feedback from the community:

  • Which Monday actions feel most repetitive today?

  • Where do integrations add the most value in your workflows?

Looking forward to learning how others think about voice-first interactions alongside Monday.

Hello, welcome @david-flintoff This is a great concept and very well thought through. From what I see, the biggest friction points are capturing action items during meetings, quick status or date updates, and logging short bits of context that usually get lost. Voice feels like a natural fit for those moments.

Integrations shine when they fade into the background. If users can speak an update and trust it lands in the right place, that’s real value. Clear confirmation and low error rates will matter more than adding lots of features.
