I believe it would be beneficial for each board to display a small icon showing the number of times you’ve been mentioned or tagged. This would provide a clear and visual representation of when someone has requested information from you. Although there is a little alerts bell icon, it doesn’t seem very effective for my team. Often, people are mentioned or asked questions on different boards and miss these notifications. Consequently, you have to call or text them to ask if they’ve seen the board mention.
If there were a small number next to each board indicating the number of mentions, similar to how text messages are displayed on mobile phones, it would be easier to track and clear them off. You’d be able to see at a glance where these mentions are. The bell icon tends to be easy to ignore, and the alerts build up quickly; I often have 70 alerts displayed, making it hard to decide which ones need immediate attention. A small number next to each board in the sidebar would allow me to instantly see if, for example, the manager has tagged or mentioned me.
