What are check marks considered when trying to create automations?

When trying to create an automation on a board, what do I consider a “Check Mark” column? Status? Item? etc.

Hi @amy.douglas , yes it’s best practice to use a Status column to trigger an automation in this case. You can also use a “Status+Date” type column if you wan’t to keep track of deadlines (and maybe even use the date column for automating a notification on a due task that’s past due).
