What are some best practices for designing workflows that work smoothly for users who rely mostly on mobile apps?

I’m interested in how others structure tasks, notifications, and automations when most users are on their phones. Are there any layouts, shortcuts, or UX decisions that make mobile usage faster and less frustrating?

Hello @TarunNagar
Great question. Mobile heavy teams force you to design very intentionally in monday.com.

We focus on action first. One clear task per item with short names and obvious statuses works far better on phones than complex multi purpose items.

Keep columns minimal. Status owner and date usually cover what users need to act. Anything informational belongs in updates or connected boards to avoid endless scrolling.

Automations are essential. Auto assign owners auto move statuses and send notifications only when action is required. This prevents mobile notification fatigue.

Saved views make or break the experience. My work and Due this week views dramatically reduce taps and friction.

Our rule of thumb is simple. If it feels slightly annoying on desktop it will feel painful on mobile. Designing mobile first almost always creates better systems overall.
