What’s Been Your Toughest monday.com Struggle?

Hi everyone!

We’re running a short research initiative here at Omnitas to better understand the real, hands-on challenges teams are currently facing while working in monday.com.

As one of monday.com’s oldest and most experienced Platinum Partners, and a multi-award-winning one at that, our goal has always been to help users build smarter, more scalable workflows. This initiative allows us to learn directly from the community so we can uncover patterns, highlight common bottlenecks, and share valuable insights with everyone.

:puzzle_piece: So, here’s our simple ask:
What was your team’s biggest workflow challenge so far in 2025 when using monday.com?

Your input will help us craft a research article with practical findings and process tips that we’ll publish and share with all participants.

:light_bulb: As a thank you, everyone who takes part will also be entered into a draw to win a free 10-hour mentoring & training package with our expert team.

If you’ve ever thought, “There must be a better way to do this in monday.com…” - we’d love to hear from you.

The potential to win 10 free hours for answering one question sounds like a no brainer

My largest struggle is finding a good way to have monday.com work for my action items and workflow. I currently use the CRM version, and have paid to have a CRM template created specific to what we/I do as business development. It is nice, and I appreciate the time and effort put into it, but I believe I messed it up somewhere along the way. Now it just sits there as a very nice Rolodex. Although, I would love to use to track my activities (With ease), as well as track relationship metrics. Currently, I believe I turned it into a project management platform and started to realize, I just became a project manager focusing on ensure projects are completed, instead on actually using it for business development and build relationships and actually tracking the KPI’s that are related to those styles of work flows. I’d love some help!! But, since I have already spent 4k+ on the integration, I will have a very large time getting approval for more spend, as I am not using the platform like I would like too.

Which is sad, because I love Monday.com and I hate sending 3000 emails back and forth and tracking every little bit of conversation on a customer via emails/teams chats, etc.

And, I have no help from our IT department for Outlook and Teams integration with monday.com That may also be another reason why we are not utilizing it… Why do things twice? Just conform to the 1980’s system and technologies, I guess….

Hi Kori!

Thank you so much for sharing this with us. You’re definitely not alone in feeling this way. It’s really common for CRM workspaces to grow organically into something they weren’t quite intended to be, and it sounds like you’re juggling way too much of the “project manager” role when what you’d really like is a system that lets you focus on relationship-building and business development.

It’s clear you’re passionate about using monday.com effectively, and we’d absolutely love to help you get back on track with it. If you haven’t done so already, we’d really encourage you to fill out the form we created for this research initiative. Not only so we can capture your insight officially, but also to be entered into the draw for a free 10-hour consulting package with our team. It sounds like that kind of focused support could be a perfect fit to help course-correct and get more value out of your existing setup.
