The company I am working in is starting to migrate from Clickup to Monday.com. We have a team of 40-50 handling over 100 projects a month. Manually adjusting the templates every time there is a change will be tedious. This might take us off of Monday.com to find another solution elsewhere.
Not sure what’s going on here - the App itself indicates this functionality is available and working currently. The banner at the top says all future updates will be applied to boards made from the template, but I just tried changing some status selections and column names and they did not propagate to the boards that were created from the template. What’s the truth here?
Just being pedantic, but this functionality is not in place yet.
The keyword you’re mixing up is that changes are applied to ALL FUTURE BOARDS CREATED
So only boards created from that point on will reflect the latest published template.
All that to say, bumping this thread as this is a function desperately needing priority
Yikes, that is poorly worded to the point of being deceptive. They either don’t have proofreaders on staff, or are trying to posture as if the functionality is already there. Does the basic premise of a “template” really need its own banner at the top? Hahaha I just don’t understand them.
Any update on this one please? Super super important for us - over 100 boards which I manually update each time we add/remove something. Going to need a new full time person just to do this if it’s not sorted soon
A long time has now passed since this requirement was initially aired and there still does not appear to be any update as to when the ability to Auto-update existing boards created with a template feature will be implemented.
This is a basic feature that should have been available, adding a single new task to multiple boards is just un-tenable and I agree with many others here that this should be available.
