I am wondering what method everyone is using for reminders and tracking for job items that rely on a third party taking an action
For example > We send off account application forms to a third party (ASX) and update a status to ‘Forms sent to ASX”
the usual turnaround time is a 1-2 working days, but occasionally they forget or are running very slow and we need to email or call to check in and get the account done.
I initially set up an automatic email reminder to them that sent them an email after 2 business days but there were some issues with it and them asking us to turn the emails off (status not being updated in time, so email got sent after account had been openend, or application was sent in late at night so reminder email was sent after only 1 day technically to open).
what is everyone using for reminder in this instance as I have a half dozen workflows similar to this that relies on a third party, usually triggered from an email request being sent.
My thought was to set an automat status change after a set time so that we can audit any accounts with the updated status e.g. from ‘Sent to ASX’ to ‘Check ASX’
But would love to hear some worked examples of this from the other experts
