Turn a Column into Notes on a dashboard

I want to take a long text column on a board and turn that information into Notes on a dashboard. WE are doing a survey and there is a written response question. When I go into the dashboard and choose notes there is no Setting setup to obtain information this way. Does anyone know if this is possible through an app?
