Real‑world example
We create project boards from a standard template with ~90 predefined steps. Ownership depends on Brand + Step and is assigned to Teams (not individuals) so responsibility remains stable when people change roles or leave. We mirror the correct Team into each task from a central rules board, but because mirrored People values are display‑only, tasks aren’t actually assigned — no notifications and nothing appears in My Work.
Problem
monday.com does not allow a mirrored People / Team value to be set as a real People assignment via automations. Mirrored People columns show the correct owner visually, but they don’t behave like true assignees.
There is currently no no‑code way to:
copy a mirrored People/Team value into a real People column, or
treat a mirrored People value as an actual assignment.
Why this matters
This blocks scalable, template‑driven workflows that rely on:
central ownership rules,
Teams as owners (for continuity),
and no‑code automation.
Without this capability, teams must use manual assignment, duplicate templates, or custom integrations for a very common use case.
Requested enhancement
Add one of the following:
an automation action to set a People column from a Mirror column, or
an option for mirrored People columns to behave as real assignees (notifications + My Work).
