Honestly, moving to Monday has not been very easy. After 25 years in the software dev biz, its clear that many of the workflows and utilities in Monday were conceived and setup by developers, taking a guess at what the real-world actually needs. Marketing has done a great job but many benefits are only skin-deep. A 3rd level Support person suggested I make a feature request here.
When you have a Deal with a SOF/Invoice attached with say 10 line items, why not give the sales person the ability to duplicate the Deal and include all those items so they can be edited from a sensible base line.
The use case is ubiquitous in business. The customer needs to Pay 25% upfront, then 50% then 25% for example. Or monthly subscriptions of the same line items, every month. The line item code transpose down the line into accounting software so these are important for analysis and processing. But Monday expect you to re-enter every line item! So Monday ends up as a chore for sales people and a waste of productivity and the are whinging about it. that can't bee good for Monday long term right?
For management, I am berating myself for not micro-checking all the workflows that I believe are reasonable to expect, especially for a platform that touts 'productivity' and time and cost saving.
We can't believe we are the only ones frustrated by this. Please can you upvote this and encourage Monday to get the basis right before new shiny features, i.e. actually make features and tools that are every-day necessities. We are committed to Monday and want to see it shine but these 'little' things are not helpful.
