Greater Control about Advanced Filters (and + or)

Hi monday-team,

I would be really happy about two changes for filters:

give us the option to combine “and” and “or” filters. So far when changing this dropdown it changes for everything.
However I would like to be able to do for example the following:
Filter everything assigned to person A with status X OR assigned to person B with status Y
This should not include person B with status X and vice versa.
include these advanced filters in dashboards. Even without the change in combining “and” and “or” this would greatly improve the use of dashboards, as I understand the current filtering is always an “or-condition”

Hi everyone

I’m excited to make it official: Advanced filter groups (with mixed “AND” + “OR” logic) have been released! You can now use “New group” within Advanced Filters to create separate sets of conditions ,each with its own AND/OR logic. You can even combine groups with individual filters. Translation: much more precise filtering, way less “why is this item showing up here?”.

We heard you on the naming, too. “Group” does carry a lot of weight in Monday, and clarity always matters. Feedback like that absolutely gets shared internally. One important callout (as mentioned above): If you already have filters set up, you’ll need to recreate them inside a group to take advantage of the new logic; they won’t automatically convert.

This is one of those power features that quietly levels up dashboards and board views in a big way. Thanks for raising it, testing it, and helping each other along the way. Keep the thoughtful requests coming!
