I'm a Producer and I order a lot of visuals from our design team through our shared board in Monday. We created a simple automation that works in the following way:
User creates a new item in the shared Design ordering board.
An automation triggers an update to be added to the new item with a Brief Template, which then would, in an ideal world, be editable for the user ordering.
The issue now is that the automated Brief Template cannot be edited, and our Producers now have to copy the brief template and add it again by copy+pasting it to another update in the same item. Repetitive, cumbersome, some would say even.
We know there are workarounds - make a Monday Doc, add a text or long text column, but we don't use these in our board. Are we being hard, why not just add another column? Because the discussion about the design happens in the Updates, so why couldn't the brief live there too?
Some flexibility to the automation would be nice. Could the option be to either have it editable or not?
