Monday.com is great. We have been using it as a team for a year and it has solved many issues. However, we do run into odd limitations in Monday.com often. In this case, trying to use some General Caster automations to make things more efficient but the results of the cast can only be applied to Status and Text columns (another odd limitation). The column I am trying to cast to is a dropdown column. I planned to simply convert the dropdown column to a status column but status columns have a limitation of 40 statuses. The column I am trying to convert has more than 40 and will probably grew further from that number, meaning this entire process of trying to be more efficient is stunted because of a weird 40 status limitation.
It would be amazing if we could double it or make it unlimited like other columns.
