My team has a need for a perpetual calendar, but we need to preserve every year's calendar for audit evidence.
I have created this with automations, but it will be difficult to maintain across our customer-base since we cannot copy automations from one board to another.
Currently, I have a 2026 calendar with tasks broken out by groups. I have a 2027 calendar with only groups. When an item is marked complete in the 2026 calendar, an automation creates a "next due date" of 364 days in the future. Then, another automation creates the same item (bringing all data except updates) in the 2027 board, in the same group, with the "next due date" as it's due date.
If we can create a new calendar when the first item is marked complete on the 2026 board (copy 2026 board groups only), and use the automation referenced above, we could have a folder of yearly tasks available to refer to for audit purposes.
Our team will need to repeat this every year for the foreseeable future.
