monday.com's export is a one-off file that's out of date the moment someone updates the board. Its import is a one-off upload, and updating items that already exist without creating duplicates is where it breaks.
Google Sheets Connector is the most complete Google Sheets app on the monday.com marketplace. Set it once, and your board and your sheet stay in sync.
1. Board → Sheet, on a schedule. Export a whole board, a view or a group. It updates weekly, hourly or every 15 minutes, depending on your plan.
2. Sheet → Board, with no duplicates. Rows match existing items by an identifier column. You choose Overwrite, Skip or Create new.
3. Your sheet inside monday.com. Add the Google Sheet as a board view and edit it without leaving the board.
4. Recipes that update the right row. "When a status changes, update that row in Google Sheets", or build your own.
