I have an issue which I believe is shared within the community with regards to allowing more control on template boards being created from automations - relating to the ownership of a board. At the moment there is functionality to choose board owners and subscribers for a board creation via automation, however a person is required for selection rather than something dynamic and this causes problems.
We have a set process in which users submit a form, and dependant on the options selected as part of the form submission the relevant template will be generated in the workspace. Any user in the workspace could log this so its impossible to set persons as pre-defined owners in the automations. The user who has submitted the form should have ownership of the board in this use case. This information is captured as part of the form subission, however we’re unable to use the dynamic field as far as I can tell.
I write this hoping that users have faced simiar experiences and have aomse form of fix, or that monday pick this up to progress. I’m happy to also be shown there is a way to meet this use-case, as ive found it a re-ooccuring issue over some time.
