In order to use the new resource planners and portfolio capacity manager fully for resourcing, we need to also be able to choose people with viewer accounts/freelancers.
The ability to add these people to the resource directory with additional attributes (role and skills) would be very beneficial so that we can allocate work/hours to people who do not have full user licenses.
Agree, I think it’s a severe limitation to not be able to use viewers in resource planning. It’s completely reasonable to have Viewers that do not edit/update in Monday but need to be accounted for in resource plans. If I pay for the Enterprise Edition I should be able to use all features freely which includes Resource Management. Viewers are part of my account, I should be able to manage them as resources for my work regardless of whether they can edit in the tool
The workaround is to create placeholders. Fine, but then I lose the core placeholder functionality. I can create a placeholder named “Joe Viewer”, but then I lose the ability to align Joe Viewer to a role, create a placeholder for that role, and replace the placeholder with Joe Viewer.
