Allow apps to create custom notifications

Currently, apps can only create notifications for a specific board or item. This limits the usefulness of notifications for apps.

It would be amazing if apps could create a notification for an app’s own custom objects, board views, and workspace views. In addition, it would be great if the notification could contain metadata (e.g. URL parameters) so that we can deep-link into our app.

If this were added, an app could create a notification that takes a user directly to a specific part of an app.

Thank you @PluginGenie for the request!

Hello,

I appreciate the current functionality of creating notifications for specific boards or items. However, expanding this capability would significantly enhance the usefulness of notifications for apps.

It would be fantastic if apps could create notifications for custom objects, board views, and workspace views. Additionally, allowing notifications to contain metadata (such as URL parameters) would enable deep-linking directly into specific parts of an app.

This enhancement would allow apps to create notifications that take users directly to relevant sections, improving user experience and engagement.

Thank you for considering this suggestion!
