The ability to report against any resource planner. This report will include a list of all resources assigned to a project and the total number of hours assigned to each resource. Ideally, if you can include a rate card for each resource (assigned in the resource profile), the total cost of the project can be calculated and displayed.
What are you trying to achieve
Our finance team will like a report of all projects, the total number of hours allocated and total cost of each project. For Monday Enterprise, each project is tied to a resource planner. This means we can calculate the cost of the project by simply exporting the total hours of each resource assigned to the project and by factoring in a resource rate card.
This will not only be helpful during project review for financial approval but also for annual/quarterly financial reviews and audits.
Hi @eustonmaynard , Since this isn’t supported natively, we use the monday.com agent within Copilot. It pulls data from the Resource Planner, allows us to include the hourly rate for each resource, and then—once prompted—generates a full report as a document in the same workspace.
Copilot automatically creates a monday doc with all the rate details, and you can easily add more information from the project board if needed.
hi @eustonmaynard !
You may want to look at Time in Status for monday.com. It lets you generate reports per project and per resource based on real time data, then combine that with rate cards (numbers columns or resource profiles) to calculate total hours and total cost. Finance teams usually export these reports monthly/quarterly for approvals and audits without touching the Resource Planner UI.
If you want, you can try it with a 14-day trial and we can also book a quick demo
