We currently use a dashboard with a workload widget to get an overview of our team’s capacities. Since we are working on around 20 projects simultaneously, each with its own task board, it is quite clumsy to take the team’s capacities into account when entering tasks. Currently, we have to work with two different boards/views and switch back and forth between them.
An optimal solution could be this: A person who is implemented in a team and a work schedule is assigned a task, and a deadline is selected via the date column. Once you open the date column, the “mini calendar” that opens shows the assigned person’s daily workload using color coding, similar to the workload widget (blue = capacity available, red = capacity exhausted).
This saves you from having to click back and forth between different views or boards, some of which also have a certain loading time. When entering tasks, you can check in real time when the respective person has free capacity for this task
What are you trying to achieve
I would like to simplify and speed up the process of entering tasks, taking into account the respective capacity of each person, by (partially) integrating the workload widget (e.g., into a date column) into related boards.
