"Files" is impossible and wasting our team's time

Monday wants us to hunt and peck and open tasks and click “files” to find things.

The “Files” function is useless.

Our team members upload files, and there is about a 10 minute delay between the notification of “File Uploaded” and the appearance in the “Files” tab.

But the worst part??

There is no notification.

No “paperclip”

Even creating an un-needed “files” column in the board – shows 0 zero files.

Monday wants us to hunt and peck and open tasks and click “files” to find things.

This has been an issue for YEARS on these boards.

Have you contacted support? I’ve never seen that kind of delay with the files tab on accounts I’ve worked with.

I haven’t encountered this issue myself, but here are some factors that could cause delays or problems with files showing up in the “Files” tab:

  • File size (monday has a per-file limit of 500MB)

    • Note: 500MB is the maximum file size for each individual file. If the files you’d like to upload are bigger than that, you can create a zip file and upload that instead, or upload them from Google Drive or Dropbox.
  • Internet connection type (hardwired Ethernet is often more stable than Wi-Fi)

  • Upload speed and overall network performance

  • Whether you’re using the desktop app, browser, or mobile app

  • Number of automations or integrations running on the board, which can impact performance

  • The monday subscription plan you’re on (Enterprise, Pro, CRM, Work Management, etc.) as performance and features can vary

Also, have you contacted monday Support to report this? Support can sometimes identify account-specific issues that cause delays or sync problems.
