We have set up time tracking columns and then formula columns to calculate budget based on those. Our problem is when multiple people work on one task and they have different pay rates. Both people can log separate sessions in the time tracker column, but the formula columns can only use the total time.
Could the time tracking sessions (and who logged them) be made visible to the formula column?
We have one person per task. If 2 people work on a task then the task is duplicated twice and one person assigned to each. Then we have a Dropdown column called ROLE. Then a column for RATE which takes the data from the ROLE column and multiplies it by a rate for the role with an IF formula.
Thanks, yes we have been using this workaround as well. However it’s frustrating to teach and remind everyone to only assign one person per task, when the person column allows for more.
We also get issues with the time tracking dashboard widget when more than one person is assigned.
