Need Help on the last step for the Quickstart - ReactJS guide

I’m having trouble with step 5, " 1. Open a board, and add your view to it. You should see your app display data for the first item on the board."

I don’t see how to find my view when I open up a board.

Do I first need to have an admin of the account “install” the app?
