Phone numbers to work like emails and links

Would it be possible to make the phone column work like the ‘email’ & ‘link’ columns in that you can assign a different text to display instead of the actual key information. I work in construction and almost always a job will have multiple contact people (outside of the organization, eg builders, electricians, plumbers and the clients themselves etc.). I currently have multiple Phone columns but the only way that I can tell which number is which, is to also have have text columns beside them to name them. This obviously takes up a lot of unnecessary space. It would be better if i could enter a number and a name then only see the name when I’ve clicked out of the editing section.
